Covid vaccines are being given at designated clinics and larger medical centres initially.

Texts and letters are currently being sent to people in Canterbury identified as being in risk Group 3 for Covid vaccinations:

  • Māori and Pasifika people age 55+ and their whanau
  • General population age 70+
  • People aged 16-70 with comorbidities – including eligibility for funded flu vaccination, serious mental illness or addiction, disability, pregnancy, obesity, and severe or uncontrolled hypertension – not all people in this category will have been identified.
  • General population age 65-69
What do I do now – You don’t need to do anything. You will be contacted again with information about how to book a vaccination appointment when you are eligible.

I didn’t receive a text or letter – If you are sure you are in Group 3 and you haven’t been contacted at all, then please email COVID19@cdhb.health.nz or call 0800 28 29 26 to register.
